Rule #1. Protect your skin. Allow me to repeat myself. PROTECT YOUR SKIN! The sun can do a number on your skin and I'm not talking about a beautiful glow. I mean, skin cancer and early aging. No one wants that.. At least I hope not!
Rule #2. Sunglasses. Shielding your eyes from the sun's rays is almost as important as protecting your skin. Almost.

Rule #3. An amazing beach towel. You can NOT go to the beach without a towel. More importantly, a towel made just for the beach.

Rule #4. A Beach Chair. Okay, so you don't need a chair but it's nice to have one. Trust me on this one!
Rule #5. Water. I can not stress how important it is to have water with you. And plenty of it!
Rule #6. Comfortable sandals. Waterproof if possible. Sandals are a must have because your feet will need time to adjust to the very hot sand and sneakers just look silly!
Rule # 7. Waterproof Digital Camera. For the love of the beach, if you are clumsy like me, it must be waterproof.
Rule #8. A Change of clothes. You don't want to be a smelly melly, especially if you have places to go after your beach adventure.
So, there you have it. My list of beachaholic must haves!
